Learning Stages

Discover Our Inventive Programs for Your Child

Our classes are called "Stages" viz Foundational™ & Pragmatic™ Stage.

Both levels are two years long and cater to different age groups with different teaching methods. This allows us to begin your child’s learning with a play-based approach in our foundational stage™ and give them two years to graduate into a formal learning space in our pragmatic™ stage, as detailed below and on our pedagogy page.

This allows us to focus on fundamental concept learning for 2-4-year-olds and encourages them to be naturally curious learners by giving them their own space and time to grasp concepts such as letters, shapes, numbers, and colours. To learn more about the distinctions, scroll down.

Different Type of Learners?

Foundational Stage

A stage dedicated to young students who are just beginning their educational career. Based on the ‘Minimalism’ principle and retaining interest while transferring young learners into a more formal learning setting.

Developed for the child based on developmental milestones.

The “Foundational Stage™” emphasises play-based learning with instructive and open-ended toys and instructional tools. Lessons are led by the child with minimal instructor interaction, implying that the child chooses what he or she wants to learn and that teachers assist the child in making the learning experience more memorable. The instructional objects are chosen depending on the kids’ interests, and we do not keep track of their time.

The second stage is known as the “Pragmatic Stage™,” and it is based on a 40:60 balance of play-based learning and traditional classroom instruction, as the name suggests. The goal is to provide the child a more practical approach and to prepare them for their formal schooling path ahead. This level is for pupils aged 4 and up, with classes K1 and K2 allocated.

Each stage contributes something special to the child's development.

The way a teacher conducts the lesson is one of the key variations between these stages. While the kid leads the class in the foundational™ stage by following his or her natural learning inclinations, the teacher leads the class in the pragmatic™ stage. Second, the foundational™ stage promotes a child’s imaginative talents

through emotional, sensory, and social learning, whereas pupils in the pragmatic™ stage learn to extend their attention span while focusing more on traditional teacher-led learning approaches. Finally, our focus swings between these two levels, with the foundational™ stage emphasising self-learning. We focus more on making the transition to more formal learning approaches in the pragmatic™ stage.

Learning Development

How a Child Learns

1
Peer Learning

A child learns from peers & replicates behaviour whether good or bad. These lessons channel to the next learning phase where a child learns the difference between good & bad.

2
Authoritative Learning

A child learns from adults where firm, realistic boundaries are set for your child in a compassionate way. This enables longer attention span development & early experience of consequential thinking.

3
Material Learning

A simple shape toy is a perfect example of material learning. This type of learning keeps aiding us well into adulthood where objects are the centrepiece to how to perceive our environment.

4
Imaginative Learning

A lot of great ideas come through dreams. Dreams are a chain of vivid imagination inspired by real-life learning events.
